A Brief Introduction

Hello and welcome! My name is Diane Cummins, an introverted maverick and passionate storyteller. I have always found comfort in writing. To me, writing is an art form, much like painting or sculpting. I enjoy crafting morally complex, relatable characters, inspired by my own life experiences growing up in poverty and later building a career in case management. In dealing with bureaucracy daily, I learned firsthand the meaning of the word Kafkaesque. Those experiences inspired my debut novel, The Silvering. Outside of writing, I am an avid gardener, aquarist, and mediocre chess player.
